In Major League Baseball (MLB), a team consists of 25 players. However, only 9 players take the field at a time.
Baseball is a bat-and-ball game played between two opposing teams who take turns batting and fielding. The game is played on a field by two teams of nine players each. The objective of the game is to score runs by hitting a thrown ball with a bat and touching a series of four bases arranged at the corners of a ninety-foot square, or diamond. Players on one team, the "fielders," try to stop the other team's players from getting on base and scoring runs, while the team at bat tries to score as many runs as possible. The team with the most runs at the end of the game wins.
