Mother Teresa
(1979) : Mother Teresa was a Catholic nun who dedicated her life to serving the poor, sick, and disadvantaged. She was born in Skopje, Macedonia in 1910 and joined the Sister of Loreto in Dublin, Ireland in 1928. She was sent to India in 1929 and spent most of her life working in Calcutta, helping the poor and sick. She became a naturalized Indian citizen in 1951. Mother Teresa was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1979 for her work in helping the poor and sick. She was also beatified by Pope John Paul II in 2003, which is a step towards sainthood. Mother Teresa passed away in 1997 and is remembered for her selfless dedication to helping those in need.
