Mount Kilimanjaro is the highest peak in Tanzania, as well as the highest freestanding mountain in the world. It is a dormant volcano located in northeastern Tanzania, near the border with Kenya. With its majestic snow-capped summit, Kilimanjaro attracts climbers and adventurers from around the globe. It stands at an impressive height of 5,895 meters (19,341 feet) above sea level.
