The Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve, located at the conjunction of the borders of Karnataka, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu, is an important ecological region of South India. It is home to several protected areas, including the Mudumalai National Park, Bandipur National Park, Nagarhole National Park, Silent Valley National Park, Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary, and Sathyamangalam Wildlife Sanctuary.
